[Troubleshoot]Laptop no display but power is on
Method 1:Connect a VGA Cable to an External Monitor
Connect your laptop with a VGA Cable then turn on the power, check that if there’s display from the monitor screen. Try pressing the button for external display, normally it will be “Fn+F4″. If there’s no display proceed to the second troubleshoot.
Method 2: Take out your RAM and rub it with an eraser
Remove your RAM and rub it with an eraser then plug in one by one and try both of the slot whether it’s functioning. Plug one of the RAM and try turn on your laptop. If you still can’t get your laptop to display proceed to the next troubleshoot.
Method 3: Remove your Hard-disk
Method 4:Remove your laptop battery
Remove your laptop battery then try to power on your laptop with the power adapter connected. There’s some possibility that your battery had spoiled which will cause your laptop to stop functioning.
Method 5: Make sure that you are using the right power adapter
Different power adapter has different Voltage(V) and Ampere (A) , do make sure that you’re using the correct power adapter. Most of the laptop will have the label at the bottom which stating that how much Voltage and Ampere of the power adapter should be use.
